I Finally Uploaded Some Music

Well it's not the song I've been promising for weeks, but I finally put one of my songs online! It's a simple 12-Bar tune that fits somewhere between the blues and a 60's garage band. If you feel like checking it out, please tell me what you think. My Music

Listening to:

Well it's been a week and I still haven't finished any music. But I discovered this amazing new artist through iTunes, KT Tunstall. Between iTunes and You Tube, I've also found her to be an interesting performer. I bought her new CD, "Eye to the Telescope" yesterday. If what I've heard so far is any indication, I think we'll be hearing quite a bit from this Scottish lass in the years to come!

Snow, Wind and Bitter Cold

Yeah, I know February in New England what do I expect? But after a warm and relatively dry winter, the snow is falling and blowing. So I'm sitting in a warm, dry space, wishing I was snowbound with a swimsuit model, or a certain photographer I wish was still around. But I'm alone with thoughts of spring, surrounded by my musical toys. The new issue of Tape Op magazine arrived in my mailbox yesterday, so I've been diverting my attention towards that.

In A Writing Phase

Circumstances in my life recently have caused me to start writing songs at a feverish (for me, anyway) pace. I've finished an instrumental track and have currently three or four songs in various stages of development (do I smell an EP?) I've got three weeks between now and my next photography class and I hope to have something done before then.

Prince on SNL

In a word, Wow!
Spent a rainy evening in the laboratory with an Oxygen 8 keyboard trying to complete a track I've been working on. About to fade out for the night, I turned on the TV just in time to see Prince perform his first song of the broadcast. I might be ready to put all my musical junk on e-bay! He's strangling some amazing sound out of this Floyd Rose equipped Strat which was either Sonic Blue or Surf Green (my favorite Fender colors!) What a performer! Takes me back to high school when he used to be all over MTV (when they actually showed music videos!)
