Driving In Snow (and other minor annoyances!)
Granted we haven't really had any snow this winter, but if we don't slog through it constantly do we forget how to drive in the stuff? So I'm driving to work yesterday (as if that's not crazy enough any day) and I'm behind someone in a 4x4 truck. Every thirty feet (or so it seems) this person slams on the brake for no reason at all. Now I'm a safe distance behind and there's nobody in front of this person, so I'm wondering what possible benefit comes from braking for no reason. Maybe this person wants to spin out in front of a highway full of people and ruin everyone's morning commute. Or just maybe we haven't had any significant snowfall in almost a year and it's easily forgotten how to drive in the snow in the first place.
So I registered for a spring class about a month ago and I still haven't received any confirmation/acknowlegement/anything, well except for the bill from my credit card. Suppose it's a bit much to ask for even an e-mail to let me know I'm in the class before they bill my credit card.
That's it, I've been sort of hibernating so I'm not listening to anything new, although I did get the free song by "The Good, The Bad and the Queen" from iTunes. Sounds like a promising project, featuring Gorillaz/Blur frontman Damon Albarn with Paul Simonon (bassist from The Clash) and others. Might be worth checking out, along with Neko Case's performance from Austin City Limits.
