Latest Ramblings

So we finally got a new Apple Store! I went to the Grand Opening yesterday, but forgot to bring my camera. It was crowded, but I was lucky enough to get in with the first group (not bad, stood in line for an hour to get new headphones for my iPod and picked up a free t-shirt in the process!) I'll have to go back when the crowds subside a bit. Spent most of today playing around with CS2, getting myself up to speed so I don't fall behind in my class. Still have too many ideas and not enough time, especially the way things are going at work. One of these days I'll get into something better!

Five Years...

Five years ago today, a terrible tragedy occurred in New York City, Washington DC, and a field in Pennsylvania. Thing I'll remember most is how blue the sky was that day. Never mind that my brother was probably boarding his flight to Chicago as the terrorists arrived at Logan Airport. Fortunately, he arrived safely and was on the tarmac aboard his connecting flight when the planes were grounded. Thousands of families were not as fortunate, their loved ones perished in the events of the day. Much has been said and written so I don't feel the need to go into details. The aftermath of these events makes me wonder if the world can ever recover.

Rant In Am

The music project I've been working on has hit another delay. I've been waiting for a keyboard that doesn't seem to be coming for quite a while. I'm trying to be patient and it's not like I don't have anything else to occupy myself with, but I was hoping to have something finished before I start my class and it becomes a distraction.
I bought a sketchbook Moleskine, but I haven't taken it anywhere, yet. I've been checking out the Moleskinerie group on Flickr and it's amazing what people are doing with these things. It reminds me of a couple of years ago when I participated in the 1000 Journals Project. That got me started on keeping a sketchbook and I try to add to it regularly, but life gets in the way sometimes!
