Start of the Holiday Season
I went to the market after work yesterday to pick up my lunch making supplies for the week. Picked up my stuff and was waiting in line at the register when they had a problem with their credit card machine. So they opened the other register, and I moved so the woman in front of me (with one item, no less) could go over. She told me to go ahead and actually smiled when she said it! That hardly ever happens in this me first, hurry-up world we live in. So I thanked her, after offering to let her go a second time, paid for my food and left. And all I could think of is that somebody's found the spirit of the holidays.

That's great--I can certainly picture what would "typically" happen in that case.
